Spring Break....

Spring Break in a lot of College students mind is to go out and party on the beaches of Cancun or Florida or South Carolina with your closest friends but ehhh not me... Don’t get me wrong I’d love to do that. But why risk being drugged by some sleazy guy that offers to buy me a drink? That doesn’t rank to high on the list of things that I wanna accomplish this year... But instead I’ve come with the sweetest trip in my eyes for spring break. Yay! I’m going COLDER and going west. I couldn’t be more happier with my destination. I’m stepping on the Amtrak for a 25+ hour ride to Bozeman Montana to visit my sister. I’m super excited. yeah I know 25 hours on a train doesn’t sound that exciting but I think that it is. It’s a chance for me to do as a place. I can relax, sleep, listen to music, be annoying, work on my lack of social skills and meet more crazy cross country travelers as myself. Your transportation will be as exciting as I make it. :-)

2008 Summer Flood

Back home in Wisconsin I live and work in two different communities. I had thought that none of them never really gave a crap about the people in there cities, they are both filled with stuck up people bitchy people. but last summer I had seen a different side of them that totally changed my views on people. June 2008 we had gotten the worst rain fall in years, everything was flooding, the river and the lake. The dam in both communities started to become weakened until they completely broke, causing hundreds of homes to become flooded and unlivable. both of these communities came together and were working around the clock to save people housing. filling sand bags and making walls in hopes to prevent more damage from happening. before this I was starting to loose faith in my communities but I now know that when others really need help that people are willing to put there lives on hold and lend a hand for a neighbor or two.

Cell Phones.....

I got my first cell phone when I was 16. It was an old school nokia with the green/yellow back light. Speaking from experience you could literally throw that phone against the wall and nothing would happen to it besides some miner scratches, you did more damage to the wall... haha... I seriously thought I was the coolest teenager ever, because not a lot of people at school had them. I rocked that phone like no other, I’d go walking down the hall way and wipe it out from time to time to show it off, but I couldn’t call anyone because everyone I knew was in school or at work and didn’t have a cell phone, haha losers... a few months after I got mine, my best friend got his first cell phone.. I was super pissed because his nokia had a pretty blue back light, and I was stuck with the nasty green/yellow one. Cell phones started to be come more popular and technology has gotten crazy on them with the bluetooth, colored screens, cameras, mp3 players. and now you even get unlimited texting plans. I remember when my mom told me that I could only text 50 times and if I ever went over on it my ass would be grass and I’d get my phone taken away... haha needless to say I got my phone taken away a lot.

What I really don’t understand is why 8yr olds are wondering around with cell phone. Common I had to wait, so should they, lol. Cell phones are taking over the world almost everyone has one. I only know a hand full of people that don’t have one. I know I personally wouldn’t want to have one but I have to because I travel a lot, and it’s more of a safe thing for me anyway.

Mexico Fans 'Stick it" to the US

San Francisco Gate
YouTube.com

What in the world did I just read? I haven’t laughed this hard in awhile. The whole time I was reading I was thinking that I had to find a video clip of it, which is just as funny.

Mexico soccer fans using Vudu to help there team beat the US soccer team. They haven’t beaten the United States in ten years so the fans are taking matters in to there own hands and buying Vudu dolls of the american players. Sports fans and players are crazy. What a great money maker, I mean really they could sell oodles of those in the US. Produce mass quantities of them for baseball, football, ice hockey, and maybe even golf. I’m still amazed by what people come up with to sell these days... Thanks Mexico I need a good laugh tonight :-)
